Captain America Coloring & Activity Book (#4550-1)
2002 (Paradise Press, Inc.), 142 pgs., $4.95

Creators: Ronald & Donald Williams
Description: Only three Daredevil images in this book. The simplicity of the images (no shading, no thick or thin lines) and the level of the puzzles makes me think this book is definitely for the younger set.

The Avengers Coloring & Activity Book (#4525-2)
2002 (Paradise Press, Inc.), 174 pgs., $7.95

Creators: Ronald & Donald Williams
Description: Ten DD images in this book. One is the same as in the Capt. America book. Unfortunately, the special "cut" shape of the pages does clip off the edges of some pictures, and a number of pictures do go all the way into the binding. However, for the young ones, the mix of coloring, connect-the-dots, matching, and mazes looks like a lot of fun. These also went on sale for just a buck or two at Wal-Marts and other stores in 2003. Can't beat that!

Creators: Howard Bender (layouts & some pencils) (cover 2002 edition: Jeff Albrecht Studios)
book cover
Description: Not quite hidden pictures...more of a "Where's Waldo?" style book. Through eight scenes, you have to find a set of items in the picture. The items all relate to the location depicted in the next scene. In the ninth scene, you have to find the eight bombs and save the city. At the end of the book are some additional items to go back and look for -- each scene having items related to a particular character. And then, you get to go back and find a key in each scene and match it to the correct bomb from the last scene. Enough to keep you occupied for a LONG time! Also, LOTS of little jokes hidden in the scenes like the names on the back of the baseball players' jerseys: Who (on 1st), What (on 2nd), and I Don't Know (on 3rd).
Daredevil appears in all of the scenes except the first one and the eighth one. The baseball scene is especially fun as it has the extra Daredevil items hidden in it and Daredevil is playing the umpire (think about it!).
Note: Originally printed in 1992 with ISBN 1-56173-702-X. The 2002 issue (above right) has EXTREMELY poor coloring...everything is washed out. There isn't even any flesh tone -- everyone is chalky white.
