This set does NOT include Daredevil and is only included here in the interest of completeness and to let DD collectors realize that this is a set to pass by if they're only looking for DD merchandise. In fact, this set only has valentines featuring the four super heroes listed above. Like the sets that were offered in 1993 and 1994, this set includes small "non-mailable envelopes" and three special cards that are actually part of the back of the box the cards were packaged in which have to be cut out. The "special" cards on the back to be cut out are copies of the Spidey, Hulk, and Capt. America cards included in the set. The Spidey and Cap cards are marked "Special Friend" and the Hulk card is marked "Teacher". All of the cards, including the "special" cards, are blank on the backs. |

Marvel Flashy Foil Creative Seasonal Solutions (Paper Magic Group) ©2005 box: 17.8 x 26.7 cm (7 x 10 1/2") valentine: 12 x 6 cm (4 3/4 x 2 3/8") 32 foil valentines (4 copies of 8 valentines) + 2 special double size valentines including:
These are glossy "foil" style valentines (similar to foil trading cards). In addition to the eight designs in the list above, the two oversized cards are of Spidey and the X-Men. The cards are made to be bent in half along a crease and sealed with a sticker -- in this case one from a sheet of pretty pink hearts included with the set (shown below to the left). I really think Paper Magic *should* have come up with a better "seal" for its Marvel fold and seal valentines. It really looks a little funny putting a white and pink heart sticker next to Wolverine's claws. Interestingly, while Spidey is on the one oversized card, he's not included in the regular cards. Maybe he had his own set this year...?

This is a cardstock "booklet" of perforated valentines that punch out of the pages. The image below left is the back cover of the booklet. The images below are the front and back of the DD card. Each card also had a trivia question on the back. DD's card asks what his secret ID is and gives you the choices of Foggy Nelson, Matt Murdock, or Irving Forbush.
